They are looking for dedicated, safety conscious Power Engineer to join the team at Enersul’s facility near Fox Creek, AB.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment is used safely, effectively and efficiently to maximize production and product quality. Particular attention paid to time management, quality of work, and cleanup.
- Operator must be able to safely and efficiently be able to understand and operate the piece of equipment and aspects of plant operation they are trained to operate.
- Ensure that a continuous review of safe work procedures and practices is being done by themselves and other operators.
- Operator is expected to have good communication at all levels.
- From time to time, the Operator is responsible for care and control of the crew vehicle as well as timely transportation of crews.
- The Operators will be assisting Contractors on site from time to time. They must ensure that all Contractors work to Company Standards.
- The Operator is responsible for timely and accurate completion of all paperwork generated by their daily duties.
- The Operator is responsible for ensuring production requirements are met which are set out by the Site Manager on each shift and a consistent effort is made to maximize product quality.
- Product quality must be recognized as not only formed sulphur, but all services performed.
- Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all boilers on the plant and follow all required company policies and procedures along with government regulations.
- Operator is responsible for reporting any plant issues or incidents to the Site Manager or Chief Power Engineer as soon as they arise.
Qualifications
- Must hold a minimum of an ABSA fourth class Power Engineering ticket. (Steam time worked at site does qualify for ABSA 3rd class requirements)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to accept supervision and direction and work co-operatively with coworkers.
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Sulphur handling experience would be an asset.
- Available to work days and nights on a 7 on, 7 off 12-hour shift rotation.
