Role: Offshore HSE Advisor
Rate: Competitive
Location: Location Offshore (Den Helder)
Duration: 12 months
Rotation: Two week rotating schedule
Role Requirements
Provide all platform personnel with competent health, safety and environmental advise regarding the requirements of the Integrated Management System and relevant statutory provisions;
Main Duties
- Ensure the provision of specialist HSEQ advice to management and workforce
- Support that all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are correctly reported, investigated and corrective actions identified, participating in investigations as required
- Ensure the local QHSE, promotional and induction material is developed and delivered as required
- Identify and adopt creative and alternative approaches to problem-solving and encourage others to do the same
- Openly question established practices and seek to identify continuous quality and improvement opportunities
- Provide support and coaching in safe work practices according to the permit to work system, Task Risk assessment, on site tool box talk best practice and LMRA
- Be a role model and support compliance with the Life Saving Rules
- Support the installation active compliance monitoring schedule
- Support the installation induction material and register(s) as required
- Be a role model and support compliance with the Life Saving Rules
- Comply with all competency, appraisal and development procedures in line with the role requirements
- Provide routine health care, advice and education to offshore staff and contractors
- Health Surveillance: Audiometry/Noise, HAVS, Specific Exposures
- COSHH Assessments; Manual Handling assessments
- Display Screen Equipment Coordinator, facilitate self-assessments
- Health Promotion Activities
Internal & External Interfaces
- Interface with offshore Operations, Project and Drilling and Wells Teams
- Interface with HSEQ colleagues
Required Competences / Qualifications and Experience
- NEBOSH/MVK/HVK or equivalent certification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HSEQ experience in offshore oil and gas production operations
- Experience in Incident investigation using COMET/TOPSET/Tripod methodologies or similar
- Supervisory management skills and experience desirable
- Good understanding of HSE legislation, management systems and hazards
- Technical Member of relevant Occupational Health and safety institute – desirable
- Strong facilitator of improvement and change management
- Appreciation of Human Factors and Major Accident Hazards
