Inter Pipeline operate 23 strategically located petroleum and petrochemical storage terminals in Europe, which have a combined storage capacity of approximately 37 million barrels. its NGL business is one of the largest in Canada, processing an average of 3.3 bcf/d in 2018, with the capacity to produce over 240,000 b/d of NGL.

Inter Pipeline are building Canada’s first integrated PDH and PP complex. The Heartland Petrochemical Complex will be designed to convert locally sourced, low-cost propane into 525,000 tonnes per year of polypropylene, a high value, easy to transport plastic used in the manufacturing of a wide range of finished products.Consisting of a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and a polypropylene (PP) facility, the Heartland Petrochemical Complex will cost approximately $3.5 billion and will be located in Strathcona county, Alberta near Inter Pipeline’s existing Redwater Olefinic Fractionator.
The amount of direct and indirect jobs created for Canadians over the four-year construction period will top 13,000. There are many construction opportunities being hired through its contractor Kiewet. As well, Inter Pipeline expects to hire up to 200 full-time positions until construction completes in late 2021.
