Job Description
Comply with safety rules and regulations. Be familiar with the fire equipments in his area.
Follow the instructions of the Shift Supervisor and CCR Operator.
Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor and with other Operators in regard to all activities that affect them. Monitor all parameters and enter periodic readings on log sheets. Summarize all activities/events that took place during his shift in the logbook.
Inspect the area and auxiliaries during the shift to make sure that all equipment parameters are within limits. Report abnormalities to the CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor.
Perform equipment change over according to preset schedules. Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.
Coordinate with Shift supervisor for isolating and lining up the equipments and system before and after maintenance. Maintain a tidy work area and ensure clean up after maintenance work.
Assist in the training and familiarization of new local operators.
Follow standard procedures
Use proper PPEs and implement prescribed risk controls
Report deviations in Quality, Health and safety management system
Report emergencies and near misses
Ensure proper waste disposal measures
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
Generic awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles
Knowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste
Knowledge of Emission Monitoring
Knowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals being used in the plant
Knowledge of firefighting equipment
Knowledge of PPE and safety equipment
Knowledge of First aid measure
Should be well conversed with Desalination Operational activities.

Education
Technical Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Technology
