3 UPCOMING OIL & GAS PROJECTS
The Australian oil & gas industry is entering a new era of growth, having recently overtaken Qatar as the world’s largest exporter of Liquid Natural Gas. This production and revenue growth means new projects and jobs are just around the corner. Here are 3 upcoming projects.
………..
BROWSE: Located 425 km north of Broome WA, Browse is Australia’s largest untapped conventional gas resource. The fields contain an estimated 15.4 trillion cubic feet of dry gas which encompasses three gas fields; Torosa, Brecknock and Calliance. Woodside plans to commence the project in 2023.
………..
SCARBOROUGH: Located 270km from Onslow WA, Scarborough contains an estimated 7.3 trillion cubic feet of dry gas. The field’s development will include drilling 12 daisy-chained subsea gas wells, which will be tied to a semi-submersible platform moored in 900m of water. Woodside is predicting first gas in 2023.
